2019/11/23: Blankets and Toys for Sacramento Children

We are gathering on Saturday afternoon (11/30) to make No Sew fleece blankets again like we did in June. This time, please, if you are able, bring some fleece fabric and one or more little toys that fit into a Kindergartner’s pocket, such as Beanie Babies. Please bring fabric scissors if you can. The blankets and toys will be given to Kindergartners in several schools in Sacramento in December prior to their winter break. This is again an effort coordinated with Sacramento Blankets for Sacramento Kids. The blankets provide warmth and much needed comfort to many children in our area, and the toys are great, too. Our contact, Susan Berbec, recommends the fleece kits, two 60″ x 60″ pieces of fleece wrapped in a ribbon, which can often be found on sale. Two-yard lengths are good also. (We have set the date immediately following Black Friday on purpose). See you there!
