Sacramento is filled with gorgeous hiking places, ranging from riverside nature to rugged hills. Join us for a hike event each 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month to one of these sites, meet new people, and observe nature.
Our next hike is in Cosumnes River Preserve Trail. This area offers wildlife scenery in almost a flat land.

Directions: from Sacramento, drive I-5 south for 20 miles until exit 498 to Twin Cities Road. Turn left and drive 1 mile then turn right onto Franklin Blvd. Drive 1.6 mile and you will see a parking lot. We will Gather there at 8:30 am. I’ll be carrying a meetup sign.
Length: 2-4 mile.
Configuration: connected loop.
Difficulty: easy.
Scenery: Open savanna and riparian wildlife.
Exposure: Bright in the meadows.
Trail surface: Grass, dirt trail.
Access: Free, no permits or fees required.
Parking lot: Free, per the automated answering machine.
Good to have things: Water bottle for rehydration, binoculars for wildlife observation, hat, sunscreen.
