Plastics Are Everywhere: A Presentation by David Lewis 2025-03-23 @2 PM

David Lewis will tell us about the worst polluting material in the world!
Deborah Seilor, President of the Renaissance Society Board, will precede David with special remarks.

Plastics are everywhere, from your toothpaste and toothbrush in the morning, the packaging for your morning breakfast items, in the clothes you wear, the bottle of water you drink from and the synthetic rubber in your tires.

Plastic production is estimated to grow by 300 percent over the next 20 years. It is also the worst polluting material in the world with a dump truck of plastics going into the ocean every hour of the day. By 2050 there will be more plastics in the ocean than there are fish.

David Lewis: 35 years in Silicon Valley. Began with a single transistor and finished with 200 million per silicon chip. As Sr Mgr. of New Product Development, David transferred new technologies worldwide.
